Platform
A flexible linear system for the
assembly and testing of medical
devices at cleanroom levels up
to Class 1000 is offered as an
alternative automation platform
to less-flexible systems based on
rotary indexing tables with fixed
synchronization. Available in all-stainless-steel and powder-coated
versions, the Teamed platform is

Thermal Imaging Array
Expanding an existing line of lead
salt–based detectors, a specialist
sensor company offers a lead selenide
(PbSe) thermal imaging array. It
combines high sensitivity in a wide,
1.0- to 5.5-μm wavelength range
with integrated electronics and
can serve as an alternative to such
detector materials as InGaAs for
measuring the temperature of cooler
are closer to reality than they appear.
You always knew it could be manufactured. You just needed a single-source
supplier that could take you from prototype to full market requirements. No
one matches Norman Noble’s capabilities and quality for micromachining
medical devices and implants. With our proprietary systems, we can
manufacture components from virtually any material to the industry’s
tightest tolerances.

LIRA multiplex array comes in an
industry-standard 28-pin package
and can be programmed for use
in a variety of high-speed thermal
imaging applications. Its data readout
speed of 4 MHz accelerates data
analysis. Each of the 256 detectors
in the array measures 40-μm square

electronics feature an ROIC chip
specifically designed to work with
PbSe, resulting in a user-friendly
interface that facilitates data
collection, biasing, and integration.
