Illuminated Tactile
Switch
An illuminated tactile switch is
available with multiple LED color
options. The switch has through-hole
termination, independent LED leads,
and dome technology that is suitable
for medical devices. The switch has an
electrical life of 100,000 cycles, an
operating force of 160 ± 50 gf, and
contact rating of 50 mA at 12 V dc.
In addition, the unit offers contact
resistance of 100 mΩ maximum
(initial at 2– 4 V dc) and insulation
resistance of 100 MΩ minimum. Its
dielectric strength is 250 V ac, and
its operating temperature ranges
from – 20° to 70°C.

Compact Enclosure
An enclosure maximizes performance
while minimizing space requirements,
according to the manufacturer. The
19-in. rack-mount 3U MicroSlim
chassis in a 3U MicroSlim design
offers 12 advanced mezzanine card
modules, two Micro TCA carrier
hubs, one JTAG switch module, two
power modules, and three spare
slots. The enclosure also contains
four hard-disk-drive slots with Serial
Advanced Technology Attachment
connectivity. Cooling is achieved
using redundant cooling units in a
push/pull airflow configuration. The
unit features 42 cu ft/min of airflow
with a hot-swap switch, a fan-fail
indicator, and ergonomic handles. The
chassis accepts single-module/midsize
cards, which are 75 mm high × 4
HP wide. The chassis configuration
can be customized to allow double
modules at 150 mm and compact
(3-HP) or full-size (6-HP) modules.
Other features include a separately
removable filter tray with a 45-PPI
NEBS-grade filter and dual ESD
jacks in the front of the chassis.
